RASAC Bel Air Town Run 5K

Renaissance All Sports Athletic Club (RASAC), the Harford County running affiliate of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA).  RASAC conducts the Bel Air Town Run (BATR) 5K as a community event to promote health , fitness and running. The 5K race is also a part of the Maryland RRCA Championship Series of races. There is also a 1 mile fun walk option.

United Disabilities Services (UDS) Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Lancaster, PA, committed to helping people with disabilities, including veterans and the elderly, lead more independent and fulfilling lives. - See more at: http://www.udservices.org/

This race benefits the Cade Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports families struggling with infertility. The Cade Foundation's Maryland Race for the Family, hosted by Shady Grove Fertility, is our 5k run/walk that celebrates the strength and courage it takes to OVERCOME infertility. All proceeds from the event fund Family Building Grants that help others afford the costs associated with fertility treatment or adoption. This year the race is being held on June 10, 2017 at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.

5k Run & Walk

The Gabriel Little Foundation will be hosting its First Annual 5k Run/Walk in order to celebrate the life of Gabriel Little, raise money for The Miracle League initiative in Harford County which will provide opportunities for children with disabilities to play Miracle League baseball, regardless of their abilities (for more information, please visit: https://www.mlharford.com), promote the awareness of  Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy(DMD), and to  provide an event that focuses on health, family and fun.

 

Entry Fees:

5k
$30 until May 26
$35 on race day

The event will be held rain or shine, and entry fees are non-refundable.

Course Information:

The 5k course will begin at the Williams Street entrance to the Ma & Pa Trail in Bel Air. Runners will complete an out-and-back route before returning to Williams Street for the finish.  Pets, roller skates, skateboards, and other wheeled devices are not allowed on the course for the 5k. Strollers are permitted, but must begin in the back.

Awards:

Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female winners, as well as the top male and female runners in the following age groups:

14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+

Amenities:

T-shirts to all participants (t-shirt sizes and availability not guaranteed for those registering after May 18). Water will be available on the 5k course, and course marshals will direct racers at the turnaround.

Packet Pick Up:

Packets will be available for pickup on Saturday, May 27th (race day) from 7:00 – 7:50 AM at the Williams Street entrance to the Ma & Pa Trail.

5200 N. Charles Street! Start time for the 5K and 1 mile run/walk is 8:00 am.

2)  “Parish Pride” trophy for the parish with most registered runners/walkers.

3)  “Flying Nun” trophy for the school with most registered runners/walkers.

4)  “Blisters for Sisters” award for the team with overall best time.                                              

 

  Enjoy music by DJ Ray, a pre-race warm-up with Roxana of Brick Bodies, entertainment by Bobalouie the Clown, raffles and refreshments.

Brigance Brigade 5.7K/1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

In 2017, we #RaceforALS to honor former Baltimore Raven O.J. Brigance’s 10 year anniversary of his ALS diagnosis; a decade of embodying that All Things Are Possible Fighting ALS.

In solidarity with his tremendous strength and service, we will race, run, walk, stroll, roll, and raise funds for ALS families, just in time to kick off the month of May -- ALS Awareness Month. Join us!
